The Countdown is on for the From Our Dark Side Genre-writing Contest

DarkSide-website_0000_headerIn just a few days, on Thursday January 15th, 2015 – at the midnight hour (11:59 p.m. Pacific Time, to be exact), the From Our Dark Side genre writing contest submission phase ends. We hope your story will have made the deadline!

From Our Dark Side is a national English-language contest seeking the best in Canadian female-driven Genre Film ideas, written by women.

Five projects will be selected for mentorship – mentors include directors Amanda Tapping, Karen Lam, Rachel Talalay, Producer Rupert Harvey and Digital Media & Marketing Strategist Annelise Larson. Other perks are a $500 cash prize, consultations with industry experts and full accreditation to the Montreal Edition of the Frontières International Co-Production Market.

The top five winners will be presented at the 2015 Vancouver International Women in Film Festival, March 4-8.

Some of you have already registered, but not sent your stories. And some of you have sent their stories, without going through registration. Please ensure you have completed both steps of the submission process.
